Physical Copies of PlayStation 4 ‘Spider-Man’ Running Low in Japan

In the category of “you think WE’VE got problems,” game players in Japan have run into a shortage of Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4. Brisk sales have caused perspective gamers trouble locating it as they have almost sold out of the physical copies of the popular game. At this point, most fans who have yet to purchase the game has been relegated to purchasing the digital version.

Media Create, who tracks such data, shared sales numbers for Marvel’s Spider-Man that showed the game had sold over 125,000 copies during just its first week in sales. Because of this sales surge, physical copies of Marvel’s Spider-Man have become harder and harder to come by. Further analysis went on to say that 96.17 percent of the initial shipment was sold.

This is not only true in Japan. In the UK, it is now become the most popular seller of physical copies exceeding the previous leader which was the latest version of the Far Cry series.

Here in the US, Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 is still available for purchase at all the normal outlets. For those of you who have played the game, is getting the physical copy a necessity or can you get by with just the digital copy? Does Marvel’s Spider-Man rank as a “must get?” Share your opinion with us at GVNation.
