When the plan was established after the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald it was thought that production for the third film for the series would begin in July. However, Warner Brothers has announced that they have pushed the project to the fall. This is to allow for more pre-production time as needed.

While past Warner Bros administrations have rushed films to meet their scheduled release date, the current leadership is not afraid to take the time to give their films the best chance to succeed. Since the last film made almost 650 million world wide, they are hoping to at least match those figures if not exceed them and that, they believe, takes time.

Some believe the delay in production on Fantastic Beasts 3 will also delay production on DC’s Flash film. Reports are that Warner Bros. is waiting for Ezra to finish filming Fantastic Beasts before beginning the Flash. We will have more on this as news breaks.
