Xbox dropped a bombshell during their E3 conference and announced that the next gen console, Project Scarlett, is coming Holiday 2020.
Specs on Project Scarlett:
- Custom designed CPU based on AMD’s Zen 2 and Radeon RDNA architecture
- 4x’s more powerful than the Xbox One X
- Microsoft is also using fast GDDR6 RAM, that it promises will “usher in resolution and framerates we’ve never seen before.”
- Support 8K gaming
- Variable framerates running up to 120fps in games, and ray-tracing
- Microsoft is also using an SSD on Project Scarlett
