From all reports the results were far from what was expected. While this is not uncommon, WB knew they still had some work to do.
After completing some reshoots and re-editing the film, the results were more positive. This comes from a recent report from Variety. According to their story, the reshoot…
…dramatically improved test screening results and the studio is confident Birds of Prey will be a hit when it opens in February.
This is good news as a setback would derail the momentum they’ve built up since Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam!, and Joker. As it seems now, Birds of Prey will hopefully follow Joker as another R-Rated success for the studio.
