Resident Evil Village’s Jeanette Maus Has Passed Away at Age 39

We’re sad to announce the passing of Jeanette Maus. Aged 39, Maus recently starred in the upcoming video game Resident Evil Village. But, Maus has also been in numerous movies and TV shows throughout the years.

Resident Evil Village developer Capcom released a statement:

We here at Capcom R&D 1 are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeanette Maus, the talented actress who helped bring several different characters, including our witches to the world in Resident Evil Village. Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones.

Maus passed on January 4th due to a long-time battle against colon cancer. Maus’ fiance Dusty Warren shared the sad update on Facebook:

“It is with a shattered-yet grateful-heart that I inform you that Jeanette Maus passed away late last night due to complications of cancer. I’m really sad, but I’m super proud of her. She fought so hard, with tremendous grace and optimism, inspiring myself and I’m sure many of you.”

This passing comes a couple of days before legendary actress Cloris Leachman passed at the age of 94. We wish the families and loved ones of both Maus and Leachman our deepest condolences.
