It’s season seven, and the possibilities are endless: what’s up with Jerry? EVIL Summer?! And will they ever go back to the high school?! Maybe not! But let’s find out! There’s probably less piss than last season. “Rick and Morty,” 100 years! Or at least until season 10!
For in-depth thoughts on Rick & Morty: The Complete Seventh Season, please see my colleague AJ Fairnot’s review from its original broadcast here.
Video Quality
Rick & Morty: The Complete Seventh Season comes to Blu-Ray with a terrific transfer that shines as bright as every previous season. Colors are stupendous throughout the season with some top-tier saturation throughout the various environments. This is a crisp and clear presentation absent any dirt, debris, or digital artifacts. The line work and details are distinct and maintained firmly without any bleeding or blurring. We did not spot any major issues with banding or other such nuisances. Rick and Morty is a series that always delights when exhibited in high definition.
Audio Quality
The Blu-Ray comes with a robust DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio soundtrack that translates everything with ease. Dialogue is forefront within the track with a clear presentation in the center speaker that spreads into surrounds during activities that require different environments to be engaged. Sound effects from various inventions and other thrilling moments dig deep in the low end which is appreciated. The show provides some unforgettable environmental effects that are directionally precise within the mix. Music washes over you with stings punctuating certain scenes in the rear channels. Warner Bros. has delivered a first-rate audio presentation that should please most fans. There are optional English SDH, French, German, and Dutch subtitles provided.

Final Thoughts
Rick & Morty: The Complete Seventh Season barrels forward after (rightfully) losing one of their key creative figures, and the best thing we can say on that front is that you will not feel the absence. The season starts a bit slow with a couple of episodes that feel a bit disposable, but the season evolves into some of the most exciting and creative output we have seen from them in some time. The series is evolving, and the creative choices we see being made this season – plus the callbacks that mean more than you ever imagined – make us primed to once again think of this show as one of our favorites. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released this latest season on Blu-Ray with a fantastic A/V presentation and a fine assortment of special features. Fans who have stuck with the series will be rewarded by this season. Highly Recommended
Rick & Morty: The Complete Seventh Season is available to purchase on Blu-Ray in Standard and SteelBook packaging and on DVD.
