Synopsis: Now in its fourth-consecutive year, the annual fashion experience continues to challenge tradition and break boundaries. The trailblazing event is raising the bar yet again with a new all-star lineup of models, actors, some of the biggest names in music, and more, debuting the latest Savage X Fenty styles. A seductive fashion fever dream, this year’s show blends Emmy award-winning choreography, style, and music with the hypnotic essence of nocturnal nature. Featuring a star-studded cast all wearing the newest Savage X Fenty looks, the show is an un-missable visual feast.

Everyone deserves the right to celebrate themselves without fear. We all should be empowered to feel attractive, to feel sexy, to feel wanted, and to feel loved—end of story.

    “Bad bitch activated!”

Another year, another incredible show. Again, Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty show sets itself apart from the typical skinny-only, blank-faced, and secretly unseasoned lingerie/sleepwear fashion show. This year with its fourth installment, Volume 4 dazzles and delights with energetic choreography, an enchanting atmosphere, groove-worthy music, and of course, fashion that is sexy, eye-catching, and aggressively functional. Taking place deep inside Simi Valley, California, this living piece of art and culture is where fashion meets fantasy in more ways than one. With sweeping color palettes and textures that change as seamlessly as the music and vibes, you’ll be so engaged and transfixed to the point that you forget that it’s a celebration of attire. Led by the icon herself, Rihanna, this fusion of savage, sexy, and sonics features an array of familiar faces and positivity to match. From actors such as Winston Duke and Simu Liu to Sheryl Lee Ralph, models like Cara Delevigne, Bianca Davies, and Anarcius Jean, along with creatives and influencers including Kornbread, Bella Poarch, and Avani Gregg, all bases of entertainment are represented. Let me not forget my favorite sequence of the show, the perfectly fierce and brand embodiment monologue by Taylour Paige. The show also features a controversial and slightly off-beat Johnny Depp that makes his first big appearance since the attention-grabbing trial.

Incorporating fantasy-like animation as it transitions to various moods and intensities, there is a subtle story that accompanies the emotion-filled dance moves and elaborate makeup. Paired with an already playlist-worthy soundtrack, the show is elevated by some of the hottest acts in music. Brazilian singer Anitta sets things off, followed by Don Toliver, the legendary Maxwell, and Burna Boy who brings up the rear. But the crowning achievement of this Savage X Fenty Show and every one of its predecessors is its diversity and inclusivity. It’s never forced and always genuine. Rihanna has another hit on her hands as she continues to put on for the culture. I only wish that the show didn’t end so abruptly. The garments are fantastic and everything else is as well. You’re going to have fun with this. Its rewatchability is high.

    Final Thoughts

I’m always impressed by how the bar keeps continuing to be raised each year. It’s becoming an annual event that you can happily enjoy with friends. Someone let RiRi know that I am available for Vol. 5.

Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4 is now streaming on Prime Video. Stay safe and enjoy.
