Robert Pattinson in Talks To Play ‘Batman’ in Matt Reeves Film

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”22263″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]With Matt Reeves feverishly working on tightening his Batman script for Warner Brothers, the main question has been: Who will play the titular role?  That question appears to have been answered. Variety has reported that former Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson has been tentatively pegged to play the Bruce Wayne/Batman role in Reeves greatly anticipated film.

While making his name doing the Twilight series of films, Pattinson has been diversifying his resume recently with a number of films set to be released this year. These include Claire Denis’ High Life, and Robert Eggers’ The Lighthouse. In addition, he will be appearing in The King for Netflix and Waiting for the Barbarians. At only 32 years of age, Pattinson will be the youngest actor to don the cape and cowl in film adaptations. Reeves has been reported as wanting a younger actor to assume the role with emphasis on Batman’s role as the “World’s Greatest Detective.” Although not confirmed as of yet, Reeves appears to have found his man.
