Rockstar’s ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Reaches An Historic Milestone

While people look forward to the sixth installment of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto video game franchise, GTA 5 is continuing to dominate. Take-Two, which is the parent company of Rockstar Games; announced that the game has now shipped 150 million copies. This was revealed during an earnings call.

This number is up by 5 million from the 145 million amount that was reported three months ago. This is widely due to the popularity of GTA Online, which is constantly being updated. The most recent update has been the Los Santos Tuners update. In general, the entire GTA series has passed 350 million copies sold.

GTA V will continue to grow in popularity with Rockstar intending on releasing the game on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in November. In addition, a standalone version of GTA online will be released in November and it will be free on the PS5 “at launch”. When do you think we might see the long awaited Grand Theft Auto VI released? Too bad you cannot place your bets on when it would be released because if so the  PowerPlay would be the place to do it.

What do you think of GTA V’s success?
