Rocksteady Games Gives First Trailer and Details For Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

During DCFandome, everyone’s favorite self-loathing horse and magician Will Arnett revealed the trailer for Rocksteady’s new game in the DC Universe, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The trailer itself is a splashy mix of Call of Duty, Fortnite, and of course the titular Suicide Squad. Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark comprise the famous group of villains and anti-heroes tasked with taking out, you guessed it, the Justice League who are being controlled by the ever menacing Brainiac.

The characters in the trailer feel exactly like they should. Harley is quippy and irreverent. Everyone is tired of Deadshot’s vanity when it comes to his skill. Boomerang is a funny Australian with a laid-back demeanor. King Shark has a bit more depth to him in the trailer than he’s usually given, and I for one can’t wait to start taking people down as a giant shark.

What followed the trailer itself was a fun little Q&A between Will and the game characters, who all seemed a bit worried at the scope of their current assignment. Apparently King Shark is a big Bojack Horseman fan.

Will then had the chance to speak to the main developer of the game. “It’s really a love letter from us to DC fans.” He revealed that the game will be a multiplayer adventure with up to four players, but “you’re never locked into one character. You can always switch…” I can only imagine the trouble this group is going to get into.

The game is slated for release in 2022, so there is still a bit of a wait, but it already looks insane and I can not wait.
