Roland Emmerich’s Disaster Epic ‘2012’ Gets 4K UHD Upgrade This January

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that director Roland Emmerich’s big-budget disaster epic 2012 starring John Cusack will be available to own for the first time on 4K UHD Blu-Ray with immersive Dolby Atmos on January 19, 2021. The film also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover and Woody Harrelson.

Synopsis: From Roland Emmerich, director of The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day, comes the ultimate action-adventure movie, exploding with groundbreaking special effects. As the world faces a catastrophe of apocalyptic proportions, cities collapse and continents crumble. 2012 brings and end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.
