When Paul W.S. Anderson spoke recently about how he would soon have some more cast hiring’s to discuss, it appears that he was a man of his word. It was announced and confirmed by the Hollywood Reporter that T.I. Harris and Ron Perlman will be joining the forthcoming Monster Hunter production. Harris and Perlman will work alongside Milla Jovovich on Anderson’s adaptation of the popular video game series. As most fans know, this is not Anderson’s first time working with game franchises. He directed the 1995 adaptation of Mortal Kombat and then took on the Resident Evil franchise which starred Jovovich, who’s also his wife.
Harris is set to portray the role of Link, who is a sniper. While Perlman, has been tapped to play Admiral, who will serve as the leader for the Hunter’s Crew. Jovovich was already set to play a character named Artemis. At this moment, details about her character haven’t been released.
Monster Hunter is set to begin production next month in South Africa, and is projected to have around a $60 million budget. While story details haven’t been talked about, it is thought it’s likely to be based on the same premise as the game, whereas heroes choose powerful armor and weapons, then set out to hunt down dangerous creatures working together as a “battle crew.”
How do you feel about the newest cast members T.I. Harris, who played a role in both Ant-Man films, and Ron Perlman, veteran actor who has appeared in the Hellboy and recently in Sons of Anarchy. Share your approval or disapproval with us at GVNation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
