Rumor: Black Adam Will Feature Two Versions of the JSA

DC’s Black Adam is finally happening and we’re getting more information about the film as time goes on. The latest bit of news is that the upcoming film will feature two versions of the JSA or the Justice Society of America. FandomWire explains that Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s character will face off against both a classic and a modern version of the JSA.

If you are not familiar with the JSA, they were created by Gardner Fox, Everett Hibbard and Sheldon Mayer. The team first appeared in All-Star Comics #3 in 1940-1941. The original team consisted of Doctor Fate, Hour-Man, Spectre, Sandman, Atom, Flash, Green Lanter and Hawkman. It would go on to grow and add more members including Stargirl, Hawkgirl, Starman and more.

The classic JSA that he will face off against will reportedly include a younger version of Wizard Shazam, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Doctor Fate, Jay Garrick, and Alan Scott. Then, the modern version will reportedly include a reincarnated Hawkman & Hawkgirl, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone – this team will work alongside Isis aka Adrianna aka Black Adam’s love interest.
