RUMOR: Black Widow Standalone Film Will Feature WWI Flashback

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”11971″ img_size=”900×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It’s been ten years and nearly twenty movies and the MCU shows no signs of stopping. Though there is not much known about the movies that will come after Avengers: Endgame, one of them will be a Black Widow standalone film. The call for a Natasha Romanoff movie has been in demand since the character was first introduced in Iron Man 2, back when he had even less kick-ass women in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Captain Marvel, Okoye, Scarlet Witch, the Dora Milaje, and other bad-ass women in the Marvel Universe, the call for Black Widow to get her own movie has lessened. Still, the studio is finally putting work into this movie and it’s possible that a recent rumor could pertain to its plot.

According to MCU Cosmic, sightings in Racconigi, Italy lead many to believe that we will be getting a flashback from WWI in one of the upcoming films. We’re very familiar with the MCU and WWII considering Captain America’s background, but this will be an interesting change of pace to reference the first World War. While it could be the Eternals, it’s more likely to be a flashback within the Black Widow movie. Considering the location of the Red Room, this rumor points to Natasha Romanoff’s backstory film.

Again, this is just a rumor, but what are your thoughts? Let us know![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
