Rumor: Could WandaVision Be Setting Up for Scarlet Witch and Vision to Have Children?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”31639″ img_size=”800×383″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]For those that didn’t boot up Disney+ this morning as soon as it launched, you missed some clues in the special Marvel Expanding the Universe. In this special on the streaming platform, we may have gotten a hint as to watch we can expect in the upcoming WandaVision series.

They are currently filming for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series, so details on WandaVision are scarce. Still, there are some clues. In the Marvel Expanding the Universe special, WandaVision supervising producer Mary Livanos is in it. In the special, you can see several pages from a comic behind her, hung up in her office. One of the pages is a comic of Doctor Strange holding a child, from The Vision and the Scarlet Witch #4. This 12-part miniseries series came out in 1986 and was a sequel to a shorter miniseries of the same name from 1982-1983. In this fourth issues, Wanda gives birth to twin boys, who are she and Vision’s children. Wanda was able to conceive these children through magic.

Maybe you’re thinking that Wanda and Vision having children isn’t the sort of content you’re going to be watching for, but as ComicBook.com points out, these children cause a slew of storylines. There’s a revelation that the twins were created from the souls of children who were under the control of the villainous Master Pandemonium. The twins are unmade and as it would be for any mother, it devastates Wanda. Suffering from a mental breakdown, she then goes off on the Avengers and kills several members, including Ant-Man, Vision, and Hawkeye.

Wanda then goes onto the House of M storyline, erasing the X-gene from most of the mutants. Eventually, in the story; the Avengers she’s killed return and Wanda helps Hope Summers bring back the mutants.

This is a long shot and mutants haven’t even been introduced yet. And maybe having the children is too much for an already, seemingly; packed series. We will have to see. Considering that the series will be set in place to affect the events of the movies, this could be at least a stepping stone of what we can expect in the MCU.
