Rumor: Rob Zombie’s Reboot of The Munsters Headed Directly to Peacock

Rob Zombie may be known for horror movies such as The Devil’s Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses, but the musician and film director is taking a stab at rebooting The Munsters. The Munsters was a comedy show from the 60s that is now rumored to be rebooted and heading straight to Peacock.

The original rumor was that Zombie was making a live-action film for Universal Pictures. Now, the rumor is that the movie will go straight to the streaming service Peacock – where the 1960s show is home to. Another rumor is that the budget for the film ranges around $30-$40 million.

Zombie’s wife Sheri Moon Zombie would play Lily Munster, with Jeff Daniel Phillips playing Herman. Zombie is supposedly a huge fan of the show, which does not get as much love as The Addams Family – which came out around the same time and followed a similar format.
