This is exciting news. According to the Illuminerdi, who usually gives out great scoops, WB is looking to cast Alexander Skarsgard as Hawkman for the upcoming film. The Hawkman for Black Adam will be Carter Hall, a character Alexander Skarsgard has a lot of resemblances too. Plus, it’s Skarsgard – who doesn’t want to see him in just about anything? I’m getting too excited here – I know. I surely hope this is true. Let’s dissect Illuminerdi’s scoop further.
First of all, Skarsgard is 6’4″. Carter Hall is known to be a dangerous warrior who is quick-tempered. At the height Skarsgard is, he has the build. And he’s used to playing morally ambiguous characters as he did in True Blood. As well as straight up villains like he will in The Stand. Skarsgard in a comic book film? I mean, his brother Bill was Zeitgeist in Deadpool 2 and his father Stellan has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe pretty much since the beginning. I know this isn’t the MCU, but the more Skarsgards, the merrier!
Anyway, Illuminerdi has stated that Warner Brothers wants Skarsgard for Carter Hall. Whether this will happen or not does remain to be seen. How cool would it be, though; to announce something like this at the Black Adam panel during DC Fandome? It’s too early to say, but I have my fingers crossed. Do you?
