Samsung and NBCUniversal will launch “Tonight at the Rock – Powered by Samsung Galaxy” on Fortnite, allowing fans to place themselves directly in a fantastical version of Rockefeller Center and iconic Tonight Show locations. This announcement is a continuation of NBCUniversal and Samsung’s long-standing partnership with “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and marks a first-ever interactive gaming experience with the show that redefines the definition of partnership and out-of-the-box, engaging advertising.

    More about the game:

    1. Throughout the game, players will immerse themselves within this co-branded virtual NYC experience and make their way up to Studio 6B, all while using in-game power-ups, inspired by Samsung’s latest mobile, watch, and tablet devices.
      1. The moment our audiences enter the metaverse world, they will recognize the most identifiable Tonight Show architectural structures, blended with a visual aesthetic unique to the Fortnite platform.
      2. In-game Samsung power-ups that players could potentially take advantage of include expanded zoom views of the metaverse, power up speed, and more.
    2. After arriving at the hub, players will have the chance to play a series of mini-games, such as Tonight Show favorite, Giant Pong, and hop from various game modes inspired by the show, like Race Up the Rock, Cabbie Crash Course, and Escape Studio 6B.
      1. The gaming experiences includes both single-player and multi-player games giving audiences the opportunity to compete against other fans who love the show around the world.
      2. Tune-in to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday, September 21 at 11:35pm ET for a special in-show integration mirroring one of the games IRL.
    3. The gaming experience will be available in Fortnite Creative with an Epic account across PC, Android devices, consoles including XBOX, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, and any browser-enabled device.

This partnership is an extension of Samsung’s work with the show itself which has brought unique, engaging activations to late night viewers including a custom 60-second post-Super Bowl game campaign, The Tonight Show’s first-ever Film Festival, and Five Boroughs Edition to name a few.
