[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”22199″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Along with the news that Saw would be rebooted thanks to an idea by Chris Rock, we also learned the film had set a release date for October 23, 2020. However, Lionsgate has now decided to move the film up by five months.

Bloody Disgusting reports that the new installment, which is currently filming, will be released on May 15, 2020, perhaps to avoid competition with the new Halloween sequel, Halloween Kills, opening on October 16, 2020. Along with Rock, the movie will also star Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols, and Samuel L. Jackson as Rock’s father. The description of ‘Saw’ reads as follows:

The film will offer fans worldwide a new amped-up level of deviously treacherous traps, clever clues and the edge-of-the-seat suspense they expect from one of the world’s most terrifying horror franchises.

No other details on the film have yet been released.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
