Season 2 of Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ Set For Winter 2018

Fan’s of Hulu’s Marvel’s Runaways will be happy to hear that the 2nd season is scheduled to begin before the end of 2018. This was confirmed today during a visit to the set of Runaways for the Television Critics Association press.

Created for Hulu by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the show is based on Marvel’s Runaways comic book series which made its debut in July of 2003. It was created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona and is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,

Runaways stars Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein, and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hernandez. Following fairly closely to the basic plot line laid out in the comic, they are teenagers whose lives are forever changed when discovering that their parents are part of a pseudo charitable organization called Pride. They soon discover that there is more going on than they ever realized.

As the first season progressed, the writers had the teens remain in school and kept them close to their parents which was a diversion from the comic. By the season finale, the series echoed its name as the kids finally were forced to run away from home. This move that will set the stage for season 2 to perhaps bring it a bit closer to the comics.

It is the hope of Barer to see certain characters and storylines from the comics make their way into the show, including (surprisingly) the story in which her character, Gert, dies. Are you excited by the 2nd Season of Runaway? Hit us up at GVNation.Com and share your views.
