Season 3 of ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Should Be HELLish Fun

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”27714″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Because I’m old that way, I remember the comic version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. She was a witch but not the traditional evil type. In fact she spent more time trying to help others than doing any mischief. Of course, she was published by the same company as Archie Comics. What else could she be but wholesome. The same could be said for the later television adaptation with Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina.

Netflix, on the other hand, took their Sabrina in a different direction. With the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, NetFlix explored the more macabre interpretation of the character. They made their stories filled with monsters, demons, and even Satan. While they concentrated on the darker side, they didn’t allow that to totally wipe out the chance for humor where they could. As they approach season 3, show creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa vows to once again intersperse humor amongst the chills in a season he foresees as “fun.” He revealed this in an interview with The Wrap.

I think it’s safe to say that we are going to Hell, yes. We’re going to Hell. It’s very fun. It’s very fun. It’s dangerous, but it’s really fun.

So by now, we know it should be fun. What we don’t know is if the 3rd Season will be ready by Halloween. If we go by what Aguirre-Sacasa says, it might not be.

I don’t actually know. But I don’t think we’d be ready for Halloween. In truth, I have no idea, not a clue.

Such is probably the case when you’re not only running Sabrina but also the CW’s Riverdale. That fact inevitably leads to questions about a possible Sabrina/Riverdale crossover. For his part, Aguirre-Sacasa would be enthusiastic for such an event.

Listen, I’m so open for it and it feels like we have conversations about it all the time. I still would love for it to happen.
