When it was announced that there would be a Season 6 of Marvel’s Agents of Shield, many people wondered how the writers would deal with the Avengers:Infinity War “Decimation.” It has now been revealed that Season 6 will take place a year after the team dropped Coulson and May off in Tahiti, so it appears they dealt with the issue by skipping over it. This was revealed in a recent ”Ask Ausiello,” on TV Line.
In the segment, Ausiello stated that this season could be entitled “The Search for Fitz.” As fans who watched the Season 5 finale know, the future Fitz was killed, but the present Fitz is still in space frozen, waiting to get to the future. If THAT makes any sense. Jemma is on a mission to retrieve her past and future husband. Time paradoxes…you’ve got to love them. As for the timing, it makes sense that they would skip over the “Decimation” seeing as how they already have a lot on their plate. I still wonder though if the events with Thanos will still not have a place in the story line. Time will tell. In the meantime, there is the mystery of the Coulson look-alike to decipher.
Are you ready for a new season of Marvel’s Agents of Shield? How do you think they will proceed without the rock that was Phil Coulson? Share your insights with us at GVNation.
