Season 7 Of ‘ARROW’ Is Testing The Censors

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”3582″ img_size=”980×490″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Arrow season 7 has promised to be gritty, raw, and emotional. Stars of the show have claimed that season 7 will see Arrow take the show back to its roots. Do those roots include testing the CW’s censors? According to stunt coordinator James Bamford the show really wanted to see how far they could go. James spoke with Newsarama saying

“Beth [Schwartz, Arrow showrunner] and I had a phone call with BNSP, which is our censors… a very lengthy phone call about a particular scene that we never had before, So, we are really trying to push the limits on the show in the gritty factor. We are trying to go as far as you can go within the confines of our network and what is expected of us and what we can do and can’t do. We are not on Netflix, so we will never be able to X, Y, and Z, but we are damn sure going to try.”

What could they possibly have in store? Arrow star Stephen Amell told fans at Comic Con that we would see Oliver do something reprehensible in the shows premiere

“One scene in the premiere, what Oliver does is reprehensible, There’s nothing about him that is heroic at all [in the episode].”

Could this mean we see Oliver violently kill an innocent man? What do you hope to see in season 7? We will find out those answers and more when Arrow returns on October 15 to the CW.
