Ever since Captain Marvel introduced Skrulls, fans have wondered if a Secret Invasion storyline is coming to the MCU? Rumors have been circulating, especially with set photos from various MCU projects featuring the organization S.W.O.R.D. So, can we expect a Secret Invasion storyline?
According to HN Entertainment, they’ve deduced that Marvel Studios is developing a Secret Invasion for Disney+. This would include S.W.O.R.D., the Kree, and the Skrulls. This apparently was posted on Daniel Richtman’s Patreon page and spotted by MCUCosmic.
A series like this would lead into Captain Marvel 2, but nothing is confirmed yet. Keep in mind though, WandaVision and Ms. Marvel will have times to the sequel. This is due to Kamala Khan having a connection to Carol Danvers and S.W.O.R.D. Also, WandaVision will feature an adult Monica Rambeau, who was introduced as a child in Captain Marvel and the adult version will be played by Teyonah Parris.
S.W.O.R.D. can be regarded as the cosmic version of S.H.I.E.L.D. and we may have already seen a little bit of them with the end credit scenes in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
