[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18025″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It has become fairly common place these days when a film appears to be touching the right chords with audiences during the promotional stages, that the thoughts of a sequel get addressed. Such appears to be the case for Shazam! Director David F. Sandberg and Producer Peter Safran. Even though their film hasn’t reached its release date, the positive buzz from the trailers and sneak peaks have given the Shazam! Creative team the sequel vibes.
In a recent interview with Comicbook.Com, Sandberg and Safran discussed the possibility and if they were on board with the notion.
It’s easy for me to say, ‘I’m on board,'” Safran said before posing the same question to Sandberg beside him. “What about you?”
Let’s do it,” Sandberg said.
You heard it here!” Safran concluded.
Of course in the end, it will be up to WB and DC whether or not a sequel will be a going concern. However, if the Box Office results come anywhere close to the business that Aquaman reached, it would be a matter of when and not if as far as a sequel goes.
Do you believe the talk of a Shazam! sequel is premature at this time or do you anticipate that fan support and the positive reviews at this point make a sequel a given? Share your thoughts on a possible Shazam! sequel with us at GVNation.
