When Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed the release date of his highly anticipated Black Adam film, fans were naturally thrilled. There has been talk of this project for a number of years without anything being locked down. Now with a target date in mind, the natural progression of what would follow would be a Shazam/Black Adam film. While this would be the logical assumption, one person in that chain admits he has no idea of the direction that the initial Black Adam film will be taking.
Shazam Director David F. Sandberg admitted as much on his twitter feed when asked if the Wizard from Shazam! Would appear in Black Adam.
I have no idea what happens in Black Adam or who is in it. Different writer, director, producer. So far I only know what I’ve read online. Perhaps I will find out more eventually but at the moment I’m just as curious as everyone else. https://t.co/tDyFiQk1qr

While this might seem disappointing, it is extremely early in the process for Black Adam. What fans are hoping for is for the creative team to perhaps confer with Sandberg about the storyline. Perhaps even discuss how it would converge on the Shazam!/Black Adam meeting. At this point all we can say is, stay tuned. Are you excited about the long awaited appearance of Black Adam?
