Ray Donovan is one of those shows that you just know exists and you know that it’s probably always going to be on TV.
Except it’s not. The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the Live Schreiber-led series has been canceled. Not only is it a bummer that such a popular show has gotten the boot, but that it recently wrapped up its seventh season. So, no eighth season. This comes a few days before Showtime will wrap up another signature series, Homeland.
The premium cable network stated:
“After seven incredible seasons, Ray Donovan has concluded its run on Showtime. We are proud that the series ended amid such strong viewership and on such a powerful note. Our deepest thanks go to Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight, showrunner David Hollander and the entire cast and crew, past and present, for their dedicated work.”
