Video games are definitely the new adaptation trend. This is at least made evident for Sony Pictures as the CEO has revealed that the studio is developing seven TV shows and three films from video games.
Tony Vinciquerra, the CEO of Sony; revealed in an interview to CNBC that they plan on taking a lot of PlayStation properties and turning them into live-action projects. The seven TV shows and three movies mentioned above are in current active development.
Vinciquerra also added that Sony has a program called One Sony. The purpose of One Sony brings together Sony-owned companies. This is where the shows and movies will be released through. We know Sony is doing Uncharted – which has wrapped filming, but what other Sony video game properties would you like to see adapted?
