The one thing that remained a constant was it made money at the box-office…and keeps making money. In fact, according to the latest listings on Box Office Mojo, Venom has grossed over $800 million at the global box office. If anyone had told you that Venom would be this kind cash making machine considering its mixed reviews, you would have thought them crazy. However, the proof is in the receipts and this new box office total of $822.5 million makes Venom the 70th highest-grossing film in history. On the road to those numbers it edged out Wonder Woman at $821.8 and the original Spider-Man at $821.7. With that kind of revenue, it is a foregone conclusion (if there was any doubt before) that a sequel will be coming.
For those of you who have seen Venom, what do you think is the reason it continues to make money worldwide? For those who haven’t, does the news of its box-office success make you want to see what the fuss is about? Share your views with us at GVNation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
