With Sony’s Venom still cranking out box office receipts, the Studio has revealed two new release dates for future productions but did not say what they were referring to. In other words, a Sony Mystery.

The dates in question, July 10th, 2020 and October 2, 2020. While this announcement seemed to be lacking some important details, like what films they are talking about, there are some known possibilities. They have already stated that one of these films is a non-sequel and the other one is. With that in mind, production on Morbius with Jared Leto has already begun filming with the production going into 2019, so it is a good chance that the July date might refer to that film.

As for the sequel, it would be a good bet that it refers to their money making Venom film. Although it would seem to be a tight window to make the sequel to new Sony cash-cow, the fact that much of the special effect templates for Venom have already been established could likely help expedite its progress if indeed that is the second film.

Since Sony has not revealed the names of the films in question, this is supposition at this point but it would make sense.
