Just because Robert Downey Jr. and the Russo Brothers have finished up their tenure with Marvel doesn’t mean they can’t work together. After all, the Russo Brothers have worked with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Holland. So, why not RDJ?
Joe Russo has revealed that they are closing in on the day where they work with RDJ again. Though, what project that is on, the brothers won’t reveal. Comicbook.com is hopeful though that this will happen sometime soon.
For right now, fans can be excited about the Russo Brothers working with Holland on the upcoming thriller Cherry. Which, also brings in another Marvel star – Jake Gyllenhaal as a producer. Joe Russo expressed:
“[Gyllenhaal] initially found the film and the filmmaker and then brought it to us to help produce and finance and we absolutely loved the script. Natalie James, who directed the film, has some incredible short films that she made prior to this, it was very evident that she was extremely talented. So we couldn’t have been prouder to support her and the movie, and Jake who has exceptional taste, very grateful he brought the movie to us.”
