Spider-Man: Far From Home’s Trailer Shared Twice the Amount As Homecoming

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”13496″ img_size=”800×550″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Everyone wondered about the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer before it debuted, mostly because its very existence contradicts the ending of Peter Parker that we saw in Spider-Man: Homecoming. There’s been debate over Far From Home’s plotline and where it takes place in the MCU. Despite seeing both the friendly neighborhood hero and Nick Fury turn to dust as a result of Thanos’s plan coming to life, both characters are seen alive and well in the teaser for the upcoming film.

It has to be due to this curiosity and excitement, as well as everyone’s love for Tom Holland as Spider-Man that the trailer surpassed 130 million views in the first 24 hours alone. This toppled Homecoming’s stats, which went on to make $334.2 million domestically and $880.1 m worldwide. The film looks to emulate the same fun that Homecoming had, but with the adventure of Parker being overseas and now in the hands of Nick Fury, instead of Tony Stark’s. Sprinkle one of Hollywood’s best actors, Jake Gyllenhaal; into the mix and this is going to be one great ride.

Jon Watts is the director of Far From Home, Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna wrote the script, and Amy Pascal produced the film. Far From Home stars on Favreau as Happy Hogan, Colbie Smulders as Maria Hill, Marisa Tomei as May Parker, Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes, Zendaya as Michelle Jones, Laura Harrier as Liz, Jacob Batalon as Ned, and JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm).

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5th.
