As if you weren’t excited enough for the upcoming animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the first reactions on Twitter have hit and it looks like it’s just as much as of a success as we thought it would be. Due to the confidence Sony has in the film, they’re already confirming a sequel and a spinoff, which is a good thing considering how well it’s being received.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are the creative minds behind Into the Spider-Verse, both who have worked on The LEGO Movie and 21 Jump Street. The visuals, first of all, are gorgeous and the story has heart, following Miles Morales as he discovers the Spider-Mans of the multi-verse. Having Morales interact with Peter Parker was certainly a highlight and something we could only hope for in the live-action MCU one day.

I can finally talk about SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE #SPIDERVERSE, and boy does it live up to the hype.
It's got heart, humor & seriously mind-blowing animation – but it's all in service of Miles' story. Easily one of the best superhero movies EVER

Bottom line: SPIDER-MAN 2 is a masterpiece about Peter Parker/Spider-Man, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING is my favorite MCU film that redefines the character in a new context (in the shadow of the Amazing films), & SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE is a master class in Spider-Maning.
