Spider-Man is Back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”28446″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It seems that the relationship between Sony and Disney’s Marvel have reconciled themselves, due to Deadline reporting that Kevin Feige and Sony will team up for the third Tom Holland-led Spider-Man film. For the past month, fans have speculated wondering how a Peter Parker film would work with Holland in it that is not in the MCU. Yes, before everyone comments; Sony has made a lot of Spider-Man movies, but Holland would still be in it. Would the MCU have the ignore Peter Parker ever existed? After all they set up? And how would a third Spidey movie work when his roots were deep in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

We seemingly don’t have to worry. The third Spider-Man movie will hit theaters on July 16, 2021. Amy Pascal will also produce through Pascal Pictures and Spider-Man will appear in future Marvel Studios movie.

Feige stated:

“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it. Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”

Pascal also commented:

“This is terrific.  Peter Parker’s story took a dramatic turn in Far From Home and I could not be happier we will all be working together as we see where his journey goes. This has been a winning partnership for the studios, the franchise and the fans and I’m overjoyed it will continue.”

So, was this all a publicity stunt? Did either studio become scared of fan backlash? Were the fans even a consideration or was it all money? Probably money.

How do you feel now that Spidey is back in the MCU?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
