Spider-Man’s Tom Holland Describes First Day on Set as Spider-Man

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18862″ img_size=”851×365″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]If you remember, there was some skepticism about casting someone as young as Tom Holland to play Spider-Man in the MCU. The two live-action variations prior had Peter Parker as young, but not in high school. All that doubt went out the window as soon as Holland leaped in front of our screens in Captain America: Civil War and now, he’s one of the most beloved actors in the Marvel Universe.

Holland’s character may have suffered due to the Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War, but we know he’s coming back and we couldn’t be happier. In a recent interview, the British actor spoke about his first time on set playing everyone’s Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man:

“I’ve been playing Spider-Man in my bedroom since I was a kid. I grew up watching the films and I watched all the cartoons. I was kind of obsessed with him. When I walked on set for my first day it was my first day on the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) but it was my thousandth time playing Spider-Man so I felt like I had it in the bag. … I feel like a lot of Superheroes are very abnormal people. Tony Stark is a billionaire, Captain America is a super soldier, Thor is a god and I just think that it’s nice to have a kid.”

Avengers: Endgame comes out April 26th and Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 5th.
