Spike Lee No Longer Involved in Nightwatch Movie

Originally eyed the director the movie back in March, it seems that now after an interview with Screen Rant that this is not happening. After asked if he would be involved, he simply responded, “nah”.

Nah? Doesn’t seem Spike Lee is interested at all. Was he ever approached? I can’t help if he was ever involved with Nightwatch and if something happened with the script or production that made Lee respond so short, or perhaps I’m reading too much into this and he simply doesn’t have any interest in doing a comic book based movie?
