Steven Spielberg is stepping away from the director’s chair for Indiana Jones 5. This is the first time in 39 years that Indiana Jones will have a new director other than Spielberg. Who is to take his place? There are reports that James Mangold is in talks to pick up where Spielberg left off. Recently, Mangold directed the Oscar-nominated Ford v Ferrari and is also the man behind the Academy Award-nominated Logan (2017).

Spielberg will remain as the producer. The decision to not direct the movie was Spielberg’s decision, as he wanted to pass the franchise to new talent. That being said, Harrison Ford is still in the film, playing the iconic titular character.
How do you feel about Mangold possibly directing Indiana Jones 5?
