‘Suicide Squad 2’ Delayed, Leaves Room For Will Smith to Film Bad Boys 3, Bright 2

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As probably one of the few people who actually liked Suicide Squad, I was disheartened to find out the project had been delayed. As the mash-up between a handful of well-known DC villains, Margot Robbie and Will Smith were stand-outs. It wasn’t too long ago that Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg) were training for the sequel, but now production is delayed. This gives stars like Will Smith an opening to work on other films such as Bad Boys 3 and Bright 2.

Bad Bays 3, known officially as Bad Boys for Life is set to film in between November and March, where afterward he’ll work on the sequel to Bright. Bright is a sci-fi fantasy on Netflix by David Ayer. Dubbed by the IndieWire as the “Worst movie of 2017”, I’m surprised to hear there’s going to be a sequel at all. Considering the second film has already been greenlit, hopefully, the powers that be will learn from their mistakes to make a much better movie.

Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey, as filming will begin in early 2019. With Warner Bros. concentrating on Birds of Prey and the standalone Joker movie, I hope that Suicide Squad 2 doesn’t fall through the cracks. With a soundtrack that could rival Guardians of the Galaxy, great acting choices, and a punk, chaotic feel you’d expect from the bad guys, this is a sequel that could be better now that those involved know that the Enchantress storyline wasn’t something the viewers needed.
