The current in production project is being shut down as Warner Bros. is evaluating the future status of its DC Universe streaming platform, on which the series was scheduled to premiere May 31st. Production will be halted after the crew finishes filming episode ten out of an anticipated thirteen for season one.
If the streaming service is scrapped, we might see “Swamp Thing” on another streaming service or network, but that option is still unclear. The news comes shortly after Disney announced its streaming service Disney+, which will debut multiple series tied to its brands like Star Wars, Pixar and Marvel.
