Based on the 2015 documentary, Next Goal Wins follows the real-life story of Dutch coach Thomas Rongen who looks to turn the American Samoan soccer team into winners.
Waititi will work on this film before moving onto Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder. Waititi’s upcoming movie is Jojo Rabbit, which hits theaters on October 18th.
