One of the things that tends to happen when a past popular show is streamed is it introduces it to a new audience. One of the other results is it increases the want for more. Especially when the original cast wants it too. That is the case for Marvel’s X-Men the Animated Series.
It originally ran for 76 episodes across five seasons between 1992 and 1997. Now the popular 90’s Saturday morning cartoon can be seen on Disney+.
Recently, series producer and director Larry Houston discussed the possibility of bringing it back for a limited series. This was while appearing on a WizardCon virtual Panel.
We’ve had talks, but that’s about it. We’ve made conversation and it’s up to them to make the decision, but we’ve let them know that we’re all available for whatever they want to do in the future.
Apparently, Houston is not alone in his wish. Voice over actors George Buza, who voiced the blue-furred Beast and Chris Britton, the voice behind villain Mr. Sinister, both expressed an interest. As has the voice of Wolverine, Cal Dodd, in the past. Whether or not it happens depends on what Disney+ wants and perhaps, what the fans desire.
