Taskmaster Chosen To Be Main Antagonist for Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”18486″ img_size=”900×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]As we get closer and closer to the premier of Avenger’s:End Game and the end of this phase of their master plan, Marvel is moving forward on their next group of Marvel films. This will be starting with the long awaited Black Widow solo film. Details have been sketchy and all over the board as far as rumors go. As we get closer to the start of production however, things are starting to come into focus. With the film set to shoot in June, We Got This Covered is reporting that the main villain will be the Taskmaster (based on the Ultimate version), and that Marvel Studios are leaning toward Moonlight star André Holland for the role.

For those unfamiliar with the character, Taskmaster was created by writer David Michelinie and artist George Pérez, making his full debut in Avengers #196 (June 1980). His special ability is that he has perfect muscle memory, or “photographic reflexes” which means that he can be proficient at a fighting style just by watching someone else using it. Overtime, the character has become an expert swordsman, martial artist, marksman and athlete. This ability would make him a real foil for Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow.

As for Holland, his stock has risen recently with his appearances in Moonlight, Selma and in Hulu’s Stephen King based Castle Rock. If this all comes to fruition, are you on board with the Taskmaster as the main villain for Black Widow? How about André Holland filling the role? Love it or do you see someone else taking the part?
