The Best Games to Play When Bored

The best games to play when you are bored will very much depend on your personality. If you are creative or prefer fast-paced games you will appreciate games that are different to those that require some thought and concentration.  Here we look at the best games to play online and offline when you are bored.

Play free casino games

Online gaming can be simple text-based games through to games incorporating virtual reality with the very latest graphics and sometimes involves multiple players from around the world. Many of these games are free to play, allowing players to communicate in-game wherever they are.

Some of the most popular casino games are blackjack, roulette and slots, but there is also craps, a dice game in which the players make wagers on the outcome of the roll, or a series of rolls, of a pair of dice. Players can use a craps system or guide that outlines which bets players should make, in what order and how many units to bet. Some systems involve higher risk than others but the choice of which system to follow will depend on what they want out of their craps experience.

Board games

If you want a break from technology, try a board game that is a break from Monopoly, Cluedo or other games that have been around for years. There are many new games to try:

Hive

A bit like chess in strategy and movement, with great pieces and no board, the main aim of the game is to use the hexagonal resin tiles, each adorned with a different bug and have unique rules, to surround your opponent’s queen bee. You can learn the game fast, and it is easy to play, but the strategy keeps it complex.

Bananagrams Word Game

Even if you are not a fan of Scrabble, you can still enjoy Bananagrams. It is the fast and frantic word game where players aim to use all of their letters to build a word grid (like in Scrabble) in a race to the finish. The first player to use all of their tiles is crowned “Top Banana”. With no need for a pen, paper, or board, this is another game to be played home or on the go and is also available in other languages including Korean, Norwegian and Russian.
