The Boys Producers Give Update on How Season Two is Shaping Up

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”27429″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Boys premiered with a bloody bang when “superhero” A-Train literally ran through main character Hughie’s girlfriend Robin. Turning the once beautiful girl into nothing more than a bloody mess in the air, it was clear from the start that this show wasn’t holding anything back. We’ve seen an ‘ass bomb’, a grown man wanting to be breastfed, an awkward/uncomfortable scene involving gills, and so much more.

According to Seth Rogen, who is one of the producers of the show; season two’s premiere will be bigger and bloodier:

“They already have more resources for the second season. They’re adding more characters, the scope of the show organically grows as the show continues. We just watched, actually, the first episode of the second season this week. It was a wonderful thing as producers. This is way better than I ever could’ve hoped it would be.”

Producer Evan Goldberg also added that from what he’s seen so far of season two, it’s “definitely better than the first season” and:

“…immediately, it just looks a bit better, feels bigger, the actors all know what they’re doing.”

Rogen added that he’s confident that what made season one so unique will carry out to the second season:

“With a show like The Boys, especially, where the tone is so unique, for the actors to be able to watch the show and to see like, ‘Oh, that’s what it is.’ It allows them to come back completely locked into it.”

Season two does not yet have a release date, but is being worked on. In the meantime, you can catch season one on Amazon Prime and see what the buzz is about!
