The pig and duck still got it! Their antics dominate the storyline, even in off-kilter moments, but moreover, it is a wonderful treat to see such iconic characters treated with dignity and respect.

The movie never feels like a cash grab or a rollback of the greatest hits. Porky and Daffy (Eric Bauza) are right at home. They remind us why Looney Tunes is more than an animation staple; it is a full-on institution. No doubt, much of the humor will entertain younger audiences, but Looney Tunes continues to prove its versatility by appealing to all ages. The script is witty and works on both levels, offering a delightful experience for the young and young at heart. Further, the movie never bores itself by recycling gags or wearing us out with tired antics. Pokry and Daffy prove constant showmen in a hilarious animated film, eye-candy, but also more extensive than the material.
The Day the Earth Blew Up is a perfect reminder of how animation is a valid film medium. Despite these characters being drawings for all intents and purposes, they are larger-than-life. Porky and Daffy come to life and pop on the big screen. We are transported into a zany and colorful world that is a beautiful throwback to Warner Bros’ golden age of animation. The film is a return to form for the studio that has left these delightful characters on the back burner or relegated them to streaming platforms for too long.

We need more animated films because they are entertaining and refreshing and invite newer audiences to check out these classic pieces of animation history. What could have been a simple cash grab or nostalgia trip feels sincere and worthy of the esteemed history of this franchise! Porky and Daffy never felt newer, but they’ve never lost a step. Looney Tunes are back and better than ever.
In the film, the duo are down on their luck and desperate to save their house before it is condemned. They circulate through a rotisserie of jobs to make a few extra bucks, all ending in comedic disaster. Seemingly about to throw in the towel, they land a job at a bubblegum factory. However, as their luck would have it, they uncover an alien plot while working at the factory! The aliens are using chewing gum as a form of mind control. Now, Porky, Daffy, and Petunia Pig (Candi Milo) must work together to stop the alien plot and save the world.
