Now that Spider-Man: Far from Home has hit the theaters, we have reached the official end of Phase 3. That means that we have a whole new slate of films coming. Black Widow has begun production and Shang-Chi has been picking up steam. Another film that is known to be on the horizon is Jack Kirby’s The Eternals. Some roles have been filled with Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden brought on board. Another name that has been bantered back and forth is Millie Bobby Brown. Her participation changes depending upon who you ask. So it basically changes whichever way the wind blows.
Recently, Variety added fuel or confusion to the fire with a segment on the importance of Marvel’s appearance at the San Diego Comic-Con. Here is the statement in question:
Supreme Geek and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is expected to unveil brand-new franchise starters at the convention in late July. Chief among them is “The Eternals,” a series about godlike alien beings to be adapted by indie director Chloé Zhao (“The Rider”) and starring Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden and “Stranger Things” lead Millie Bobby Brown.
If THAT is to be believed, then it would seem that Brown might be back in the fold. By tomorrow however, someone might say otherwise. Perhaps Marvel will make things clearer upon their SDCC appearance…or perhaps not. This IS Marvel after all.
