These six comics will run parallel to the Batman/Superman story and will highlight a corrupt version of Shazam, Supergirl, Hawkman, Donna Droy, Jim Gordon, and Blue Beetle. They are known as The Infected. The Infected will be The Batman Who Laughs’ lieutenants against the “Apex” Lex Luthor in James Tynion IV and Steve Epting’s Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen. This mini-series will launch on December 18th.

Donna Troy and Jim Gordon are the final victims. The two one-shots will be The Infected: Deathbringer #1 (December 4th) and The Infected: The Commissioner #1 (December 18th).
Both one-shots will feature covers by Viktor Bogdanovic. In one story we have a hero who is done with bringing world peace. Donna Troy will be a woman with a newly awakened dark side and she is ready to burn the world down. In The Commissioner, we will see a dutiful man whose honor is stripped away. Gordon finally gives in to his worst impulses and might even just take the whole city with him.
Make sure you catch up with Batman/Superman and look out for the second installment, which will hit shelves on September 25th.
