Game of the Year:

  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • God of War
  • Spiderman
  • Celeste
  • Monster Hunter world
  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Predicted Winner: Red Dead Redemption 2. God Of War came in a close second, but RDR 2 has higher replayability, and a multiplayer mode coming later this month, giving it a slight edge.

Best Action Game:

  • Call of Duty Black Ops 4
  • Dead Cells
  • Destiny 2: Forsaken
  • Mega Man 11
  • Far Cry: 5

Predicted Winner:  Destiny 2: Forsaken. Call of Duty may have been good this year, but the numerous controversies and the broken launch has really hurt it. Far Cry may have a chance, but Forsaken has improved significantly over the base game, giving it a massive edge.

Best Ongoing Game:

  • Destiny 2
  • Fortnite
  • No Man’s Sky
  • Overwatch
  • Rainbow Six Siege

Predicted winner: Destiny 2.  These games have improved largely, but they haven’t improved at the rate that Destiny has.

Best Game Direction:

  • A Way Out
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • God Of War
  • Spiderman
  • Red Dead Redemption 2

Predicted Winner: Detroit: Become Human OR God Of War. Both games were extremely creative when creating their worlds.

Best Narrative:

  • God of War
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Spiderman
  • Detroit: Become Human
  • Life is Strange: Episode 2

Predicted Winner: TIE. Both God of War and RDR give amazing stories, accompanied by stellar voice acting. This one could go either way.
