The upcoming Joker movie, which will feature Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince; has been talk of much speculation and, recently; has been first seen in behind the scenes photos. But, not a whole lot has been known otherwise. Some whispers and rumors have been floating around who else is in the film, but now, Warner Bros. has officially announced the full cast and crew. Directed by Todd Phillips, the movie will feature Phoenix, along with Bradley Cooper as a producer, along with award-winning actor Robert De Niro, making his superhero movie debut.

We will also see Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen (who was just announced to be Thomas Wayne), Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham. Wow!, What a cast.

Now, the film hasn’t yet been given a rating, but it’s leaning more towards an R rating. We’ll see how that goes. As we have recently found out, Sony’s Venom was a film promised to showcase violence, but in the end, was given a PG-13 rating to most likely appeal to children. But, considering this is a solo film centering around one of the most aberrant characters in comic books, an R rating would be believable.

The Joker is expected to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
