We have seen Arthur Fleck in full on clown makeup, as well as in civilian clothes. While the plot has been unknown and a mystery even based on what we’ve seen, a new synopsis has been revealed to give us some indication as to what we can expect.
“Drama. Joker centers around the iconic arch-nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. The exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.”
It seems like we will see Fleck’s descent into the Joker after suffering a great personal loss. Who this person is we aren’t entirely sure, but perhaps it could do something with Zazie Beetz’s character, who is meant to be Fleck’s love interest. The gist is that almost anyone can be turned mad. Are you as excited as I am for this movie?
The Joker comes out October 4, 2019.
